Various solutions are available such as Hydrogen Peroxide, Isopropyl alcohol, Baxedin, Stanhexidine and Distilled water. Baxedin 0.05% is a sterile, ready-to-use antiseptic solution that contains 4% (v/v) isopropyl alcohol. It is used for hand hygiene in non critical areas and for disinfection of skin, tissues, wounds and abrasions. Stanhexidine 4% is a ready-to-use antiseptic solution that contains 4% (v/v) isopropyl alcohol USP. It is used as a hand wash and for OR scrubs.
