It comes with a long-lasting rechargeable nickel-cadmium battery; has a built-in AC adapter with prongs that enables recharging; and an adjustable rheostat to control light intensity. The convertible handle converts to C-cell operation quickly and easily in the event that you forget or cannot recharge your handle.
